How They Met

To know a person, sometimes it takes long time, sometimes just a moment that is precious for life time.

I always have a ton of fun playing around with pieces in my wardrobe especially when I am going out to meet someone whom I like. But my day out with K was completely crazy and fateful.

I woke up with a heavy head for a message, “See you at 12.30 PM. Lunch at *****”. Well, I was rubbing my eyes to check if it was real. Gazed and gaped at it, twice, then confirmed that I was not dreaming. Quickly got ready and set out to the destination. The sight of him had created a strange mixture of anxiety, excitement, and hopelessness in my body. I felt the proverbial “butterflies” when he appeared, overwhelmed with emotions and welcomed me. Honestly, when I met him I never felt strange; we got along as good old buddies and we did share our best secrets of life in ease. He is extremely shy, sensitive, and has a dork haircut but still he is utterly sweet to me with his Dravidian accent. Now if you mistake him to be soberly good, let me tell you he is a silent killer. Well, here is one such episode that completely rip-off his goody image. Since I have been talking all the while, probably he thought I need a break. So, he was like… “What do you call this as?” .I was like are you trying to date me? Before he thought it is safe to answer, he took the benefit of doubt as in to know what actually a DATE is. Smart na! That is just the beginning. Then I give him top 10 tips of dating of which one of them was “looking into gal’s eyes and speak”. From the next minute, he started constantly gaping. First I checked if someone was behind, second I checked if something was protruding and finally tried all ways to distract him. Damn…He was trapping and finally breaks into laughter. Gosh …. Moronic.

Sometimes his silence scares me; I slightly doubt if I was boring and irritating because of his deadpan expression like that of a mind-controlled, programmed assassin who is under some kind of hypnotic trance.

K is also like a typical guy who hates shopping. Despite that, he helped me shop and I love that attention J.After that we had a coffee and started walking in the evening fading sun to get a cab. Romantic na … yeah unless until he was lifting the shopping bags and probably me too. We just walked and walked, finally landed at a cross junction to find one. I am sure by then he must have realized that I am one walking disaster. Finally at the cross roads, we just stood like the tired dogs with almost the tongues out. I was facing the west and K was standing on opposite direction, both of us looking out for a cab.  He was so dog tired and was leaning on me. I nor K was so not in this world to feel that we both r standing like the posers of some odd regional movie in middle of the road. When the bystanders started making stroppy faces, then we realized that we are entertaining the trespassers. That was the LMAFO of the day.
Finally into the cab and another action-packed shopping and long conversations. Time just flew when he was around. I wished the day never ended.

Coffee and conversations are great when they are hot! Chow chowJ

PS: I am really short of words to even tell how great it feels. Just see it in my eyes , if you can read it.Just take it and go (in my style)
